 If you are really sick and I mean life threatening sick, you mind ponders about many things including how fulfilling you life has been up to the moment you got sick.
Do you enjoy what you were doing? Was it the best use of you time and skills? Did you enjoy what you were doing? I should have done this or that? Do you enjoy what you were doing? Was I making a difference? Do others really care if you are here and on this earth or not? Do you enjoy what you were doing?
As you overcome your illness and push it aside, regardless of how long, your recess may be from the game of life, the only question worth addressing is do you enjoy what you doing!
Putting out a magazine is a grueling and often thankless task. You are always behind, and the deadlines are threatening to your sanity and health. Do you have enough projects, did you get that artist profile, Is Sally going to get me her article in time? And when you are up against the deadline if you don’t have tons of staff to help you correct the spelling errors or broken links, you gamble between content and appearance. And there is always the letters, I like this or that or hate this magazine because.....
So I made a decision that I am going to continue doing what I liked and I’m not gong to tie it to a timeframe or schedule, I am going to include the content, quality and quantity that I want to include and it may stray from the subject of beads. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I have fun doing it, if not, simply don’t read it and move on! Life is simply too short to do anything but.
