I used to collect colorful pieces of wire found inside telephone cable and make bracelets and rings, and sell them at the beach of my home town in Brazil. But since I was only 10 or 12 at the time, I promptly ignored that calling and when time came to choose a career, I went to Architectural school. It wasn’t a complete break-off, since I had tried every single possible fine arts and crafts possible, including model making and sculpture, but it was not what I was meant to do. Continued

Paulette Baron has been beading since 1994, and shortly after began teaching bead weaving classes in the Washington, D.C. area. In addition to teaching around her home base, Paulette has also teaches at the Bead and Button Show, Bead Expo, and at Bead Fest.

Aztec-Bangle350Having earned her Fine Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University, she became a Graphic Designer. But it was when she became involved with beads that she found true calling. Her need to be creative and to work with colors and design had finally found a home. She has become known for creating three dimensional sculptural pieces of art out of beads. Her pieces utilize different sizes and shapes of beads and are made using a wide assortment of off-loom bead weaving stitches.  Continued
